Developer documentation
Guides to building sites and technical integrations with Journey AI.
Journey AI is a headless content management system: its API serves content as JSON, and its Next.js site template turns the component tree into React components. This section explains how the parts work together and guides you through the integrations.
Three parts
- Admin panel: Where content is created, edited, and submitted for approval.
- API: Stores content, enforces business rules, and serves it to sites as JSON.
- Site template: The Next.js-based site fetches pages from the API and renders the component tree.
An installation example
Each installation has its own API, database, file storage, preview site, and live site. Changes made in the admin panel appear on the preview site first; after approval, they are published to the live site.
